The Late Lt Clutterbuck

Lt David Clutterbuck RFA who died of wounds on May 6th was born in 1890 and was the second son of Mr and Mrs Clutterbuck of Hardenhuish Park, Chippenham. He was educated at Harris Hill, at Winchester College where he held a scholarship and at University College Oxford. Subsequently he received and appointment in the Chinese Customs and when war broke out had just received his promotion and was at Peking. In February 1915 he returned and was given a commission in the Royal Field Artillery. He accompanied his battery to France in July 1915.

Son of Henry Edmund Clutterbuck and Madeline Charlotte Raikes, of Hardenhuish Park, Chippenham, Wilts.

David Clutterbuck, born 21 September, 1890, B.A., Oxford, Lieut., R.F.A., died of wounds received in action at Vimy Ridge, France, 6 May, 1917.
