Wilts Times 22 January 1916

The Mayor referred to the sad loss Mr Councillor Duck had sustained by the death of his son , who was killed whilst fighting in the Persian Gulf, and moved that the Town Clerk write to Mr Duck expressing the deep sympathy of the council with him and his family in their bereavement.
