In fond remembrance of our only son and brother, Corpl Herbert Ford,
Royal Dublin Fusiliers, who died of wounds received in action at Le
Cateau, France, October 26th 1918 aged 26 years interred at Abbeville.
One year has passed since that sad day
When our great sorrow fell
Still in our hearts we mourn the loss
Of our dear one we loved so well
No daylight dawns, no light begins,
But we think of him,
A son so loving, a brother so kind
A beautiful memory left behind.
