Notes

Died in hospital in Egypt from illness caught in Gallipoli.

The 1901 census shows the Lea family living in the High Street, Sutton Benger. Mr Lea is shown as a farmer.

Lea joined the Red Cross at the outbreak of the war and then enlisted into the 3rd Hussars, subsequently transferring to the Gloucesters. He died in hospital of double pneumonia.
