Son of Francis Annie Wood, of Jamaica Villa, Ethelwulf Rd., Worthing, and the late William Wood.

Youngest son of the late William Wood of Station Hill. Mother moved to Worthing after her husbands death. William Wood was a fishmonger / greengrocer at 35-36 Causeway and Station Hill.

Reginald's brother George was a CSM with the Wilts Regt and led the parade of ex-servicemen at the unveiling of the war memorial.

Known as Regiie and had attended Ivy Lane School winning a 50 yards swimming certificate in 1914.
