1901 Census - Thomas and Hannah Baker shown as living in West
Tytherton. Thomas was a railway worker.
In ever loving memory of our dear loved one, Pte Thomas Baker, 2nd
Wiltshire Regiment who died March 26th 1917 at Dulman, Westphalia as a
prisoner of war after 2 years and 5 months in captivity, aged 26 years.
The cup was bitter, the sting severe,
To part with him, I loved so dear,
The trial hard,
But hope to meet him in heaven again.
From Mr and Mrs Hamlen and family, Wood Lane, Chippenham.
