Wilts Times In Memory column 5 June 1915

ANOTHER CHIPPENHAM MAN KILLED AT THE FRONT.

Mrs Taylor, widow, of Union Court, on Tuesday morning (1st June) received from the War Office, the intelligence that her son Pte WJ Taylor had been killed in action. Pte Taylor in civilian life was a painter. He served for some time in the 2nd Wiltshire Volunteers and in November joined the 2nd Wiltshire Regiment. He was badly injured in the face and died very shortly afterwards from his wounds.

At the same time Pte Bull (Pte E Bull 11105 of Chippenham. Died 25 March 1920) was wounded and has returned to England, being now in hospital.
