Son of Edward and Katharine Impey, of Sheldon Manor, Chippenham.

The 1901 census shows the Impey family living in Cotton Hall House, Eton where Edward Impey was a school master.

The family moved to Sheldon Manor in 1913 and were still there when the CWGC records were completed. His medal index card shows an address of Manor House, Steeple Ashton, Trowbridge in Dec 1921.
