Son of Herbert and Elizabeth P. Wright, of Chippenham, Wiltshire.

Took off from Toplcliffe at 2258 on a bombing mission to Bremen. Presumed lost over the sea. Sgt Starbuck's body came ashore at Backeswade where he was buried on the 14 July. Since 1945, his remains have been taken to Becklington War Cemetery. The rest of the crew are commemorated on the Runnymede memorial.
